Description:	Barolo Chinato Erbaluna Barolo Chinato came into existence in the 1890s. Barolo Chinato is an aromatized wine made using Barolo DOCG as a base wine and steeping a blend of herbs and spices. One of the main ingredients is Cinchona which lends its name to this wine. It is lightly fortified. The base wine is Barolo DOCG and herbs and spices are macerated for a period of 40 days at room temperature. The wine is then transferred to oak barrels where it rests for two years and bottle aged for another year before release.
Taste:	Deep garnet in the glass. Expansive, ethereal and complex, with notes of cinnamon, chocolate and Christmas cake. The wine is off-dry with a slight bitter-sweet finish.
