Cotes-du-Rhone Villages Sablet Blanc
The Boissan estate is located at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. One of the oldest vineyards in the region, established in the 17th century, Christian Bonfils is the fifth generation leading the estate. Owners Christian and wife Cathy Bonfils come from families of generational wines makers in Burgundy. Together, they have established a reputation for their exceptional wines with tireless efforts in organic farming and sustainable practices in the vineyard.
A blend of Marsanne, Rousanne and Viognier from a combination of valley floor, foothills and mountain vineyards of varying soil types including pebbled terraces and sandy slopes. The average age of these vines are 25 years old farmed organically. Grapes are hand harvested, skins are left to macerate, spontaneous fermentation followed with clarification by cold settling. Barrel aging gives the wine complexity and structure.
