Guardoilvento Etna Bianco Pietro Caciorgna

Guardolivento is dedicated to Dante Albieri (graphic) Maria de Ferraris (artist) and Francesco Antonelli (navigator and writer). The name of the wine is shared with the first novel ever written by Antonelli; and represents the image of the vine cultivated on Albarello that is crossed in all directions by the wind, strong at times. Despite all, the vine will prosper and is anchored to the land that feeds it.

A true expression of the black and stony earth from which it was born. The vineyards are planted in Carricante and are situated at 750 m elevation with a North/ North-East exposure. After harvest, grapes are brought to the winery for meticulous sorting; alcoholic fermentation is carried out at 90% in stainless steel tanks and 10% in new French barrels. The wine then undergoes ageing in stainless steel for a period of 6 months and refining in the bottle for a minimum of 3 months before release.
