Sangarida Mencia ATTIS Bodegas Y Vinedos
An exciting wine by Attis Bodegas y Viñedos from their property in El Bierzo (located in the province of León).
The Mencía for Sangarida comes from 50-year-old vineyards in the district of San Lorenzo del Bierzo, on the slopes of the Montes-Aquilianos. Here, the bush vines are trained on gobelet trellising systems; organically grown and cultivated.
The grapes are meticulously selected, harvested by hand, and are carefully placed into small boxes. At the winery, the grapes are de-stemmed and gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously without temperature control. Once complete, the wine is matured in stainless steel for three months on its fine lees.

Taste: |
A fresh and youthful Mencía from Bierzo. Sour cherry, pomegranate, blackberry, and black currant drive the wine. The fruit is backed by notes of black licorice, cracked pepper, fresh-turned earth, and crushed rocks. The wine is dry, medium-bodied, with refreshing acidity and loads of juicy fruit. If you’re looking for any everyday red sipper, look no further! |
