Hautes Côtes de Beaune 'Vieille Vignes' Pinot Noir
Domaine Charles François et Fils, situated in Nantoux at the heart of Hautes-Côtes de Beaune is comprised of 14 hectares of vines, 10 of which being Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and 4 hectares of Volnay, Pommard, Mersault, and Beaune. The estate has been passed down to Pascal and Pauline - Francois' son and granddaughter - giving rise to the house of Charles Père et Fille. As a result, new wines such as Chablis, Mâcon, Gevrey Chambertin, and Nuits-Saint-Georges are on offer.
Grapes are harvested manually from vines with an average age of 30 years. The grapes go through a long and gentle pressing process to preserve the purity of the fruit. After fermentation, the wine is aged in Oak for 12 months before its release.

Taste: |
The wine has notes of cherry, raspberry and nuances of undergrowth and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied with smooth rounded mouth feel while keeping the backbone structure of the wine intact with its bright acidity. The slight florality of the wine elevates the drinking experience making this a classic Burgundian Pinot Noir to be enjoyed slightly chilled to bring out its true character. |
